Ribbon Cutting Celebrating the Dedication of Fox Nature Preserve

Join us for a Ribbon Cutting celebrating the Dedication of Fox Nature Preserve!

The Fox Nature Preserve opened to the public on September 2, 2022. This beautiful 234-arce park includes a variety of natural habitats to discover as you walk, bike or ride horseback along the mowed trails. 

The purchase of the property was funded by a combination of a Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grant, which covered 75% of the purchase price, and matching funds from Oakland Township's Land Preservation millage. 

This jewel of a park is open dawn to dusk. Initial parking is located at 1627 West Predmore Road.  

Come celebrate this special property and find out the connection between this new recreational trail system, the protection of imperiled wetlands and woodlands, the Isle of Man, local subsistence farming, and a 25-year dream come true!
